Camp Whispering Pines

Photograph of troop in archery activityWhispering Pines, located in Garrison, Texas, is a 93 acre camp offers the perfect balance of wooded areas, open space trails and water. This camp is perfect for camping primitive style or with a bit more comfort in a cabin or dormitory.

Campers may participate in a variety of camp activities including swimming, canoeing, rope assisted hill climbing (not a ropes course) and taking hikes. There are plenty of other activities that campers may participate in like cookouts, creating nature crafts, learning about conservation and camping skills.

Whispering Pines location is a bonus for campers. In the area, there are plenty of attractions that troops/groups may enjoy taking advantage of such as the State Railroad and Museum, the Texas Forest Association Museum, the Old Stone Fort at Stephen F. Austin University Campus, the Texas Oil Museum, and the Kilgore Rangerette Museum.
