Product Description
TEEN VOGUE grants budding stylistas an all-access pass into the high-profile and glamorous world of fashion in THE TEEN VOGUE HANDBOOK: An Insider's Guide to Careers in Fashion.

With superb photos, interviews with industry icons such as Marc Jacobs, Bruce Weber, and Patrick Demarchelier, and six sections that include information from editors and assistants, the handbook serves as a link between the style-conscious girl and the seemingly impenetrable fashion world.

Fashion Designer, Karl Lagerfeld says, "Ask yourself, Are you sure this world is for you? And are you sure you are the right person to survive in this world--the world of fashion, a world with no rules, no laws?"

Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour says, "Do your homework, go online, visit every museum, and intern. You just need to have a love for what you're doing. It's not about thinking that it's the cool thing; it's about really believing in it."

For more advice and anecdotes, as well as behind-the-scenes secrets about industry stars, pick up THE TEEN VOGUE HANDBOOK. A must-read for anyone interested in fashion.

5 out of 5 stars Absolute must-have for anyone in fashion!   October 15, 2009

This book is an absolutely incredible resource for anyone already in the fashion industry--or trying to break into it. It has interviews and career tips from industry greats (Anna Wintour), the biggest designers (Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Alexander Wang, Tory Burch, Phillip Lim, Proenza Schouler, Thakoon), amazing photographers (Mario Testino, Bruce Weber, Patrick Demarchelier, Arthur Elgort), and even models like Chanel Iman. Seriously a MUST-HAVE.

My 14 year old daughter LOVES this book. She gave one to her best friend as a gift and she also loved it. Loads of pictures and interesting info. She picks it up often and has taken it with us on trips. It's been fun and was well worth buying!

This is honestly way better than I expected. There are quotes and interviews with people from literally every part of the fashion industry from makeup artists, to models, to editors. I have never gotten this much honest information anywhere else about 'the real world'. Most of the advice is the same; put your resume out there and intern as much as possible. But learning what famous people like Marc Jacobs did to get started is truly inspirational. I especially loved the fact that the majority of the people in the book had majored something else, then just sort of fell into fashion. It's nice to know that there isn't one set way. Parsons is NOT the only way to get your name out there in the fashion world. I would recommend this book to anyone who has even thought about a career in beauty or fashion.

5 out of 5 stars Granddaughter Over the Moon   January 28, 2010

I ordered this book for my granddaughter for Christmas after pricing it at a local book store for $12.00 more than I got it here, so obviously I loved the price but the book was exactly how the seller advertised it. I believe I also ordered it a little closer to Christmas day than I normally would have and still received it. I'm very pleased with this seller and will purchase from them again.

5 out of 5 stars An amazing book for anyone who wants to work in FASHION   February 7, 2010

I totally love this book. I haven't read it in its entirety, but I must say that I'm going to reread it. This book gives profound information and advice from the supreme people in Fashion, down to those who run errands and go get starbucks. This book has inspired me and so many ways, and I wanna thank everyone who has helped put this book together, because you have given me greater insight into my career/future.. :)
